§29.993 Fuel system lines and fittings

(a) Each fuel line m ust be installed and supported t o prevent excessi ve vi bration and t o withstand l oads due t o fuel pressure, val ve actuation, and accelerated flight conditions. (b) Each fuel line connect ed t o com ponents of the ro torcraft b etween wh ich relativ e m otion could exist must have provisions for flexibility. (c) Each flexible connec tion in fuel lines that may be under pressure or subject ed t o axi al loading must use flexible hose assemblies. (d) Flexible hose must be approved. (e) No fl exible hose t hat m ight be adversely affected by high tem peratures may be used where excessive temperatures will ex ist during operation or after engine shutdown.
