The rotorcraft must be designed for –
(a) A l imit m anoeuvring l oad factor ranging from a p ositive lim it o f 3 .5 to a negative limit of -1.0; or
(b) Any p ositive lim it m anoeuvring lo ad factor not less t han 2.0 and any negat ive l imit manoeuvring l oad fact or of not l ess t han –0.5 for which:
(1) The probability of being exceeded is shown by anal ysis and fl ight t ests t o be extremely remote; and
(2) The selected values are appropriate to each weight condition between the design maximum and design minimum weights.
