When such emergency equipment is required, it shall be so installed as to be readily available to the créw and passengers. Rafts released automatically or by the pilot shall be attached to the airplane by means of a line to keep them adjacent to the airPlane. The strength of the line shall be such that it will break before submerging the empty raft.
